Alluring Events + Design {Ashley + Chris}

Ashley and Chris got married at Park Winters on a gorgeous August summer day. They were the most incredible couple to plan with! Throughout it all they never lost sight of their happiness and their excitement anticipation grew as we got closer. I remember on the day of the wedding, Ashley was so anxious because she just couldn’t wait to be married to Chris! Their smiles showed just how much love and admiration is shared between the two of them.
Ashley and Chris were the ideal DIY couple, making everything from the signage and doughnut bar; to the wonderfully crafted copper piping arch way. Their inspiration for the wedding was a 1920’s mining vintage affair with a creative modern twist. Antique decor elements could be found everywhere such as the authentic railroad lanterns lining the aisle to her stunning custom mbloade veil. On display was a custom painted map of Park Winters so the guests could enjoy the property while sipping on champagne adorned with delicious rock candy. The food, oh the food! The guests started their evening with a delicious Bacon Bar…who doesn’t love bacon?! They had mac and cheese with brisket for dinner, and ended the evening with not only funfetti cake but donuts as well! The entire evening represented Ashley and Chris to a “T” and not a single detail was lost. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of such an amazing wedding!

Alluring Events + Design {Lauren + Matt}

A ‘wedding weekend’, that was Lauren and Matt’s goal for their big day. They wanted their guests to have a mini get away and celebrate with them all weekend long in Carmel Valley, and that’s just what happened! Lauren and Matt are such a fun couple and they have an amazing group of loving, close and supportive friends and family who laughed and cried their way through the ceremony and danced and cheered the night away on the dance floor.

Holman Ranch was the perfect setting for their wedding, it really has something for everyone. Lauren chose to play up the rustic charms of the property and we used deep autumn colors, fall florals and wood tones to create the design and style of the day.

A few highlights from the day were the sweet ‘Flower Grandmas’ (definitely a big hit), the candle lit ceremony backdrop filled with hundreds of candles – it looked stunning at sunset, and the late night snacks of Mac N Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwiches! There were so many personal touches and thoughtful details that made their day so wonderful. A big thank you to the amazing team of vendors who helped make this weekend so awesome! We love you Lauren + Matt!

Alluring Events + Design {Molly + Jay}

Molly and Jay were a dream couple, and their wedding was nothing short of amazing. The wedding took place on her parent’s family farm and was filled with so many personal touches; her Dad built the wooden cocktail tables, bar tops and dessert table, both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom baked the desserts, the groom’s former basketball coach married the couple and a family friend with a nearby farm grew and picked the flowers for the centerpieces. The evening began calm and sweet and later turned into a 3 hour dance party where the bride and groom danced the night away with all of their guests. Molly and Jay really lived in the moment and genuinely soaked in the evening, having so much fun together.

One of my favorite moments of the day was the officiate retelling a story about the two of them; Molly’s family owns an ice cream parlor in Sacramento called Leatherby’s where a lot of the desserts are named after family members, Molly even has her own milk shake named “Molly’s Milkshake”. Well, Jay grew up going to Leatherby’s and the only thing he ever ordered was Molly’s Milkshake. Years and years later in college, at Chico State, Molly and Jay met each other for the first time right outside of the gym and started dating. It was then that he realized she was the Molly that Molly’s Milkshake was named after… so you can really say that ‘Molly’s Milkshake brought the boy to the yard’. It was meant to be. Congratulations Molly and Jay, we are so excited for the adventure you are starting together, your wedding was gorgeous and the love and support by family and friends was felt by all.

Alluring Events + Design {Amanda + Brenden}

Amanda + Brenden envisioned a romantic, bohemian wedding, with unique touches that reflected their heritage and personalities. One of those personal touches was a celebratory shot after they were pronounced husband and wife. The brides family is Danish so they had a traditional danish cake, and the grooms father is an artist and he created a beautiful portrait for guests to sign. My personal favorite part of the wedding was the food. They love to have date nights at Sandra Dee’s, so naturally they catered the wedding…because ho doesn’t love mac and cheese and corn bread?!

We really enjoyed planning this one. The bride had a very clear vision of what she wanted and was a dream to work with. We can simply leave it as, Amanda and Brenden are rad and so was their wedding!

Alluring Events + Design {Kyla + Patrick}

Kyla and Patrick were married at Crocker Art Museum in a stunning ceremony that was followed by a reception at Beatnick in downtown Sacramento. Botanica provided gorgeous personal and head table flowers, while the bride’s mom crafted the centerpieces. It’s so special to plan for a couple who is selfless and giving, and Kyla and Patrick were just that! They had his and her charities for guests to chose from in which they donated in each of their guests names. It’s so great when a beautiful event can also serve as a platform to give back!

Alluring Events + Design {Maria + Ryan}

Maria’s vision for her wedding was clear from the beginning (we love a bride who has a distinct idea in mind.) The design concept was to be modern, streamline, clean lines and all white. Well, that is exactly what Maria got, from the modern white lounge furniture down to the specialty square plateware and votive candles, Maria and Ryan’s Private Estate wedding was what she had always hoped for.

One of the coolest and most popular elements of the evening was the clear dance floor installed over the large swimming pool, complete with under water lighting effects. Stage Commander did not disappoint when it came to creating this awesome feature.

The wedding took place at the Mother of the Bride’s beautiful property, in Granite Bay, which allowed us the freedom to create and design the day’s layouts and festivities from scratch. Added details and personal touches (such as dog tags on each place setting) were incorporated to honor the groom, Ryan, and his friends, who are US Coastguard. (I love these special details). Congratulations to Maria and Ryan, we hope you are honeymooning and enjoying the newlywed life!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with an awesome team of vendors on this event, it’s definitely a team effort and when your team is full of wonderful and strong professionals it truly shows!

Alluring Events + Design {Winter Wedding Colors}

Today we are sharing winter wedding inspiration with you! Winter weddings are becoming more and more popular and we are so happy about it! There are tons of up-sides to having a winter wedding (financial and logistical), but one of the most wonderful ‘upsides’ is the styling and design freedoms you have. Winter allows you to step outside of the normal colors and trends and bring in new elements, color combos and textures. You can really play up the warm and cozy colors with a soft and candlelit wedding, or go in the direction of a subtle cool and crisp winter wonderland feel like the photo below. Blues are making a come back and are really proving to be a gorgeous choice in weddings. One of our favorite Winter color combinations right now are Dusty Blues, Grays and Navy. Together these colors are perfect for those icy and overcast January and February weddings, they scream ‘winter’ but allow you to be elegant and chic. We found so many examples we wanted to share, but limited them down to the group of photos below.

Alluring Events + Design {Trending: Sweaters + Scarves}

This winter the team at Alluring Events and Design is hoping to see this wedding trend in full effect; Cozy sweaters and scarves used in Bride and Bridesmaid’s fashion.

This is such an easy way to give your wedding personality and a uniqueness and differ yourself from the typical wedding and wedding party ‘look’. Adding sweaters and scarves into your wedding fashion will bring in the cozy and comfortable feel that makes your guests feel relaxed and welcome. It’s the same effect as walking into someone’s home and seeing the fireplace roaring – you automatically feel more at home and comfy. The same goes in weddings – if your guests see warm and comfy bridesmaids they will feel more comfortable staying bundled up, warm, happy and at ease.

Not only does it look so pretty with the added textures, layers, colors and variety, but your bridesmaids will definitely thank you! No one likes to freeze and feel uncomfortable with 100 eyes watching them and photos being snapped of their goosebump skin and chattering teeth. So this is a great way to please your best girls and let them wear something they can continue wearing again and again even after the wedding.

Take some inspiration from the photos below.
