Kaycie + Rhyan got married on a gorgeous day in Livermore this past February. They married at a local church, followed by the reception. She incorporated vintage elements to her wedding theme. Kaycie poured her creativity into her wedding. She made her own centerpieces form her grandfathers vintage books. She also did all of the calligraphy at her wedding (which was amazing!). They danced the evening away with 300 of their closest friends and family members. It was a beautiful wedding + a fun dance party!
A lot of us girls at Alluring Events are HUGE dog people! With the growing trend of including dogs in weddings we thought we’d show a few ways to do so! First: dog ring bearer. This gives your dog more of a spotlight and he/she will be an extremely important role in the ceremony. I mean, who wouldn’t love to see a dog with a flower wreath bouncing down the aisle?! Want to take it one step further? Add a miniature table at the reception with your dog’s favorite kibble. I mean, a dog’s gotta eat right?! Maybe your venue doesn’t allow animals, one way to incorporate your pooch is to include them in your cake topper. Another way: a lot of people are including their dogs int their engagement shoots, so it is a perfect way to display some pictures on your wedding day. Having a photo booth? Make some dog cut outs to ensure your best friend is included in every picture!

How many times have you been to a wedding and the only things you remember are the bride’s dress, how good the food was and how long you danced for? Vows are not typically something the guest’s walk away remembering and talking about well after the wedding is over.
Vows are the promises and commitments you are vowing to your spouse to fulfill and keep throughout your marriage, and they are also an opportunity to evoke an emotional response from your family and friends. They require a lot of time and effort to write, as well as deliver!
It can be a struggle to find the right words and genuinely express your feelings (while 100 people are silently staring at you). Luckily, there are people out there that specialize in this and would love to help you write your vows!
XO Juliet is a company that will hold your hand and work with you to convey exactly what you would like to. Services range from $40 for a perfectly constructed wedding day hashtag, to $600 for fully constructed vows for both spouses (and everything in-between). We have been corresponding with Alexis, the owner of XO Juliet, and have been chatting with her about what she does and how she helps her couples. Right off the bat, Alexis was incredibly sweet, and you could tell she really cares about each and every one of her clients. Alexis really tries to make each vow personal by having her client(s) fill out a detailed questionnaire and even talks to them on the phone or meets with them in person if they are local. She doesn’t simply use the same vows over and over, but actually takes the time to get background on each client and create very personal vows based on each couple’s individuality. She sent sample vows our way, and they were truly wonderful.
Bonus, she also helps with toasts and speeches! Whether you’re a bridesmaids, sibling, parent or best man, we’ve all been in a position to give the perfect toast at a wedding…it can be a lot of pressure!

Jessica & Nicholas’ August wedding at Park Winters was a sweet & sentimental day. It was filled with personal touches and an adorable family dog, who donned a flower crown down the aisle! One of the sweetest sentiments were the paper cranes, hand folded by Jessica prior to their big day! They were beautifully crafted with hues of purple, pink, & peach, all complimenting the gorgeous florals by Dixon Florist.
Jessica & Nicholas’ families joining together was filled with love and encouragement. Nicholas’ mother gave an adorable speech in which she playfully poked fun at Nick, and Jessica’s parents brought tears to guests’ eyes when they spoke of moving to the United States to give their daughters a better life. Between Jessica’s attention to detail, and Nicholas’ easy going manner, they were a dream couple to work with! I was so honored to be a part of their wedding day!

Cake! Everyone loves it, babies smash it for their first birthday, and a happy couple cuts it at their wedding. However, a lot of couples are starting to stray away from it and coming up with alternatives. One round, sugary, and oh-so-delicious alternative…you guessed it, donuts! Whether it’s a donut wall or delicious artisan donuts on a plate, our guests will be happy! Another cake substitute is pies! For a summer wedding you can have berry and citrus based pies. For a fall or winter wedding you can go with pumpkin and pecan galore! Now if you want to add a little dash of “français” to your special day, then look no further than macaroons. These little guys make anything look classy and cute and can be styled in a way that mocks a cake. Lastly, if you need a way to feed and cool off your guests then an ice cream is the way to go! Either a self serve ice cream bar or ice cream sandwiches are sure to be a hit!
Trish had a clear vision for her wedding from the beginning. She wanted the day to be classic and timeless, but still have a modern flare. White and gold were the main colors, with greenery accents and a hint of amsale ice in the bridesmaids dresses and bridal bouquet ribbon.
The ceremony took place early in the day in a beautiful church with floor to ceiling windows that showed off the impressive scenery behind the couple. After the ceremony the guests boarded the Tahoe Paradise, a private yacht, which took them on a 2 hour cruise around the lake. From the cruise the guests arrived at Edgewood, a stunning venue right on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The reception also showcased floor to ceiling windows where guests watched the sun set right over the water. Their photos and video are a prime example of why sunset photos during golden hour are an absolute must!

Paige + Theo’s wedding was fulled with glamorous details throughout. Their seating chart so gorgeous and unique, it was definitely a beautiful focal point. Theo is from Greece, so the wedding was filled with personal touches from the delicious Greek food to the awesome Greek band! Along with the delicious Greek food, they also had a Gelato station that was to die for, a decadent candy station, and an ice cream truck. And to top it off, each guest was given a personalized bottle of wine! No detail was overlooked, it was such a special day!

What do you get when a wedding photographer gets married? You get the most incredible whimsical forest wedding photos! Kim knew photography was one of the most important aspects of her wedding, and boy did she plan her photos perfectly. She hired a wonderful photographer and they nailed that golden hour. Kim and Matt were married in the mountains and you felt like you were in a fairytale. Also, Kim’s bouquet was major GOALS! The colors were the perfect accents for the beautiful nature that surrounded them.
